The inaugural  inter House regatta was held on 3rd March 2007.

 

We had oarsman from the late 70's to date participating.

 

Approximatly 40 races were done ( As you can see from some of the pictures - some are trying very hard to breathe) on a 300 meter course.

 

Few names of the participents are as follows :

 

We had the Subasinghe brothers ,Kavan, Lochi, Arjuna and many others from the late 70s, Ajja, Sanjeeva, Varuna, Chunky from the early and end 80's and the Abayarathna Family from the early 90 's Competeing .

 

We also had Ahamed, Ftataralli brothers, Shehan representating the late 90's and Bart, Aqil, Manisha and many others from  this era.

 

Though the respective house  team captains went in to carefull planning in the mornning selecting crews   - Around 4 in the evening we lost track on which house won.

 

Simply because every one wanted to get in to a boat and did not care  to which house they rowed.
